This Privacy Policy explains how Media Kit (the "App"), provided by Media Kit("we," "us," or "our"), handles information when you use the App.
The App is a private, on-device travel journal and media creation tool. Your travel records, journal entries, photos, videos, media metadata, drafts, and creative projects are processed locally on your device. The App does not upload this content to us, to any third party, or to any developer-operated or third-party server.
1. SUMMARY OF OUR PRIVACY PRACTICES
We do not require you to create an account or sign in. We do not collect personal data through the App. We do not upload your travel records, journal entries, photos, videos, media metadata, projects, or generated content. We do not sell, rent, share, or disclose your personal data to third parties. We do not use advertising, cross-app tracking, behavioral profiling, analytics, or third-party crash-reporting services. We do not provide cloud storage, cloud backup, account-based restoration, or cross-device synchronization. All App features are processed locally on your device.
2. INFORMATION PROCESSED LOCALLY ON YOUR DEVICE
2.1 Travel Albums
The App may locally process travel names, destinations, dates, descriptions, selected photos and videos, cover images, and other organizational information that you add to a travel album.
2.2 Travel Journal
The App may locally process journal titles, text, dates, tags, and media that you attach to a journal entry.
2.3 Photos, Videos, and Media Metadata
With your permission, the App may access photos and videos that you select or make available through the iOS photo library. The App may locally process media metadata made available by iOS, including creation date, duration, orientation, file type, file size, and location information embedded in the selected media.
The App does not request, collect, or track your live location. If location information is embedded in a photo or video, the App may use it locally to organize media by trip or place. This information is not transmitted off your device.
2.4 Creative Projects
When you create a photo collage or movie, the App may locally process the photos, videos, layouts, text, ordering, music or audio selected by you, and project settings required to generate the result.
2.5 Media Tools
When you compress a video or create a Live Photo, the App processes the selected media locally on your device. Temporary processing files remain on your device and are removed when they are no longer needed, subject to normal iOS storage management.
2.6 App Settings
The App may store preferences, feature settings, draft state, and other configuration information locally on your device.
None of the information described in this Section 2 is transmitted to us or to a third-party server by the App.
3. DEVICE PERMISSIONS
The App requests access only when it is necessary for a feature that you choose to use. Photo Library access allows you to select media and save generated results. Camera or microphone access may be requested only if a version of the App provides a feature that requires it. You can review or change App permissions at any time in iOS Settings. If you deny or revoke a permission, the related feature may not work, but other features may remain available.
4. NO DATA COLLECTION, TRACKING, OR THIRD-PARTY SHARING
The App does not transmit personal data or user content off your device. The App does not contain third-party advertising, analytics, tracking, cloud-storage, or crash-reporting SDKs. We do not sell or share personal data, use it for targeted advertising, or track you across apps and websites owned by other companies.
5. LOCAL STORAGE, RETENTION, AND DELETION
Travel records, journal entries, drafts, project information, and App settings are stored in the App's local container on your device. They remain there until you delete them in the App, iOS removes them as part of normal device management, or you delete the App.
Deleting the App from your device deletes the records and other data stored only in the App's local container. Because we do not have a server copy, we cannot restore or recover that data. Offloading the App through iOS is different from deleting the App and may preserve App documents and data.
Deleting the App does not delete photos, videos, movies, collages, Live Photos, or other files that you previously exported or saved to Apple Photos, Files, or another location outside the App's local container. Those copies must be deleted separately. Items deleted from Apple Photos or Files may remain in Apple's Recently Deleted area for the period determined by iOS
Device backups are controlled by Apple and your device settings. If local App data is included in a device backup, Apple may retain that backup independently of us. We cannot access, control, or delete data held by Apple as part of its services.
6. PURCHASES AND SUBSCRIPTION
If the App offers an in-app purchase or subscription, the transaction is processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive or store your full payment card details. Apple may process purchase information under Apple's own privacy policy. Deleting the App does not automatically cancel an active subscription. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account settings.
7. INFORMATION YOU VOLUNTARILY SEND OUTSIDE THE APP
If you contact us by email or through an external support channel, you may voluntarily provide your email address, message, attachments, and other information. This information is not collected by the App and will be used only to respond to your request, maintain necessary support records, protect our legal rights, or comply with law. Please do not send private travel records or sensitive media unless necessary.
8. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
The App does not knowingly collect personal data from children or any other users through the App. Because content remains on the device, a parent or guardian should supervise a child's use of the App and the content stored on the device. If you believe that a child has sent personal information to us through an external support channel, contact us so that we can review and delete it where appropriate.
9. SECURITY
Keeping content on your device reduces transmission-related privacy risks, but no device or storage method is completely secure. You are responsible for securing your device with available protections such as a passcode, Face ID, Touch ID, and current operating-system updates. We cannot access or recover locally stored content if your device is lost, damaged, reset, or if the App is deleted.
10. YOUR CHOICES AND RIGHTS
You control the content stored in the App and can edit or delete it using available App features. You can revoke App permissions in iOS Settings and delete all App-local records by deleting the App. Because we do not receive App content or maintain user accounts, we generally have no App data that we can access, export, correct, or delete on your behalf. Privacy rights concerning information voluntarily sent to our support contact may be exercised by contacting us.
11. INTERNATIONAL USERS
The App does not transfer your App content to us or to a server in another country. Information that you voluntarily send through email or another external service may be processed in the countries where we or that service operate, subject to applicable law and the service provider's terms.
12. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the App, legal requirements, or our practices. We will update the "Last Updated" date and provide any additional notice required by applicable law. If a future version introduces off-device collection, cloud services, analytics, advertising, or third-party data sharing, we will update this Privacy Policy and obtain consent where required before those practices begin.
